Future Ready Skills

3D printing is an emerging technology that helps students develop future ready skills including:

  • 3D modeling
  • Creativity
  • Technology literacy
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem-solving
  • Self-directed learning

3D Printing in Education

3D printing skills can be applied to a wide variety of applications for class projects. Here are some examples of use in an academic environment:

  • Arts - incorporate 3D design into jewellery, sculptures and other mediums
  • Business - advertising, marketing, entrepreneurs - create prototypes of product designs or packaging
  • Engineering - design 3D models to help understand the design process and experience challenges
