To write a citation for a printed magazine article you will need the following pieces of information:

In-text citation information

Electronic

Author's last name, First initial. (Year of publication, Month). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume(issue), page number. Retrieved from URL
Johnson, D. (2017). Ideology as a vocation. New Criterion35(5), 40–44. Retrieved from https://www.newcriterion.com/

  • If the magazine is published weekly, include the date of publication (APA, 2012, p. 14).
  • Provide the doi exactly as published; there are a few different formats (APA, 2012, p. 5).
