Teaching Support.  Wondering what the library can do for you?

Equip your students with the critical information skills they need to succeed in today's economy...rely on the services of your librarians!

Course Preparation Support:

  • Learning Resources Selection: Librarians can assist you in identifying and accessing the information you need to develop and update courses.
  • Student Resource Lists:  Librarians can help you choose and provide access to books, videos and articles.
  • Assignment Design: Librarians can help you use Mohawk's resources to design challenging assignments that increase student engagement and decrease assessment anxiety.
  • Copyright: Librarians can advise you on current copyright legislation, link you to copyright-cleared articles and help you to ensure that web resources you've chosen are "legal".
  • Elearn:  Librarians can help you in elearn: adding content (links to library resources, library assignments); add a librarian to your course during assignment crunch time for student support.

Research Skills Instruction:

  • Librarians offer a variety of sessions to complement your course outlines and learning outcomes.
  • Sessions offered include:
    • How to use TheBRAIN and search library guides and resources.
    • How to choose and evaluate resources.
    • How to avoid plagiarism and Cite your Sources using APA.
    • Customized for you to ensure that your students succeed in completing their assignments well.
